1. Definitions
In these Terms and Conditions:
- "Service" refers to all financial education programs, workshops, and individual sessions offered by Baan Thrift.
- "User" / "Participant" refers to any person who registers for, attends, or enquires about our programs.
- "We" / "Us" / "Our" refers to Baan Thrift, located at 74/2 Thapae Road, Chang Khlan, Mueang Chiang Mai, Chiang Mai 50100, Thailand.
- "Content" refers to all materials, workbooks, worksheets, and reports provided during our programs.
- "Agreement" refers to these Terms and Conditions as accepted by the User.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By registering for a Baan Thrift program, submitting an enquiry via our website, or attending a session, you confirm that you have read and agree to these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not register or attend our programs.
Participation in our programs requires that you are at least 18 years of age and have the legal capacity to enter this agreement under Thai law.
3. Service Description
Baan Thrift provides financial education programs for adults aged 40 and above. Our programs are educational in nature and do not constitute financial advice, investment advice, insurance advice, or legal advice. We do not recommend specific financial products, insurers, investment vehicles, or service providers.
Programs are delivered at our premises on Thapae Road, Chiang Mai, or via agreed alternative arrangements. Session schedules, locations, and formats are confirmed upon registration.
4. Registration and Enrollment
Enrollment in any program is confirmed upon receipt of full payment. Places are limited and allocated on a first-come, first-served basis. Baan Thrift reserves the right to decline an enrollment if a program is full or if a participant's requirements fall outside the scope of the program.
You are responsible for ensuring the accuracy of all information provided during registration.
5. Payment Terms
Program fees are as listed on our website and confirmed in writing upon registration. All fees are stated in Thai Baht (฿). Payment is accepted via Thai bank transfer (PromptPay and standard transfer) and cash at our premises.
Full payment is required before the first session. Payment details are provided with your registration confirmation.
Refunds: Cancellations made more than 7 days before the first session receive a full refund. Cancellations made within 7 days of the first session are non-refundable, though we may offer a transfer to a future cohort at our discretion. Once a program has commenced, no refunds are issued for unused sessions.
6. Rescheduling
For individual sessions in the Comprehensive Financial Wellness Program, rescheduling is available with at least 48 hours' notice. Rescheduled sessions are subject to educator availability. For group workshops, missed sessions cannot be rescheduled unless exceptional circumstances apply.
7. Participant Responsibilities
As a participant, you agree to:
- Attend sessions punctually and engage respectfully with educators and other participants
- Treat all financial information shared by other group participants as confidential
- Not record, photograph, or distribute session content without prior written consent
- Use program materials for personal educational purposes only
- Not reproduce, sell, or redistribute workbooks, worksheets, or reports provided during programs
8. Intellectual Property
All program content, materials, workbooks, worksheets, frameworks, and reports are the intellectual property of Baan Thrift. Participants are granted a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use these materials for their own educational and personal financial planning purposes.
Reproduction, distribution, or commercial use of Baan Thrift materials without written permission is prohibited.
9. Educational Nature of Services
All content provided through Baan Thrift programs is for educational purposes only. Nothing presented during our sessions constitutes financial advice, investment recommendations, tax advice, or legal advice. Participants are encouraged to consult qualified advisors before making significant financial decisions. Baan Thrift accepts no responsibility for financial decisions made based on information received during our programs.
10. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Thai law, Baan Thrift is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from participation in our programs or use of our materials. Our total liability to any participant, for any cause, is limited to the program fee paid by that participant.
11. Program Changes and Cancellation
Baan Thrift reserves the right to reschedule or cancel a program session due to circumstances beyond our control (including educator illness, public health measures, or natural events). In such cases, we will offer a rescheduled session or, where rescheduling is not possible, a proportional refund.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the Kingdom of Thailand. Any disputes arising from or related to these terms shall first be addressed through informal negotiation. If a resolution cannot be reached within 30 days, disputes may be referred to the competent courts of Chiang Mai province, Thailand.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time. The updated version will be posted on our website with a revised effective date. Continued participation in our programs following any update constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
